RTF (Rich Text Format) is a standardized all-text format for designating styling and formatting information within a document. Because this information is saved as text within the document, it would be disastrous to filter this information through the dialect; no word processor would be able to interpret the information afterwards, and the converted RTF file would be useless. If you choose “RTF aware” from the Options menu, ^ will leave the RTF styling and formatting information alone, while still converting the actual text to Fudd talk. NOTE: You should only turn on RTF awareness if you are converting RTF files; plain text files may not be converted properly if “RTF aware” is turned on.
